INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS ARE THE SECRET TO KEEPING AUDIENCES ENGAGED

Since the first business speaker stood and opened their mouth, presenters have been looking at ways to keep their audience awake and engaged…

Vibrating seats weren’t the answer…

PowerPoint’s inbuilt sound effects didn’t impress…

And slipping questionable stimulants into break-time tea pots is severely frowned upon…

It’s high time that speakers found a new way to keep their audiences tuned in to their talk.

And as it turned out, talking has seemed to do the trick.

Not me talk, you listen though. The way to keeping audiences attentive is through interactive conversation where the presenter and their audience can talk openly and freely, letting conversations flow naturally.

The problem with normal presentations…
Most PowerPoint presentation designs are linear, they begin on slide 1 and progress 1 slide at a time until the end of the presentation. Which doesn’t exactly go hand in hand with a conversational style approach…

A prime example is that of a sales meeting, it’s a really poor experience when a sales person in this type of meeting pulls out a laptop, connects their portable projector and starts ploughing through irrelevant content with no appreciation of the audience’s flagging interest.

Once the presenter loses an audience in this way, it’s game over.

The answer is an interactive presentation…
An interactive presentation though is totally different experience for presenter and audience because you can set up your presentation to work like a website with hyperlink navigation…

Deliver your interactive presentation on a tablet device and now you’re talking… literally.

Presenting in this way allows you to have a completely natural conversation and when a new problem arises, you quickly and easily navigate to the relevant solution and use the specific content to help you sell your product or service.

A fully interactive presentation isn’t just the ultimate sales tool, it’s a great way of keeping your audience engaged and in tune with your presentation.

Think about, put yourself in the audiences shows and imagine that you are the audience in 2 meetings…

In the first, the presenter stops warmly chatting and kills the conversation by connecting a laptop to a projector and goes ahead and talks at you about content that’s not even of interest until they get the part that is…

But the second presenter simply carries on the conversation and pulls out an interactive presentation on a tablet and simply uses it to show you only the products and services that relate to your problems.

Just like the one here that our own sales team use every day…

Which experience would keep you prefer? Which one is going to keep you interested and engaged?
