The Eyeful Story

We love a good story here at Eyeful…

and we think ours is a good one.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we’ll begIn…

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Founded by Simon Morton after recognising that the business world was collapsing under the weight of bullet points and cliched clipart. Death by PowerPoint ruled the roost. He decided something had better change…fast.

From making your slides prettier…

Initially Eyeful was all about taking a pile of ugly bullet point strewn slides and making them look nicer. Not particularly groundbreaking but welcome relief to companies across the land at the time.

…to making your presentations more effective

Our Eureka moment with the realisation that most presentations weren’t failing purely because of poor visuals – they also needed help in terms of structure, messaging and interactivity. Our Presentation Optimisation methodology was born and, with it, all hell broke loose as we picked up lots of lovely new clients (from SMEs and start-ups to big names like Unilever, BAA and, um, Microsoft).

All very exciting and all very manic.

People, people… and more people

In what seemed like a blink of an eye, the consultancy, design and project management teams grew and grew. We’re a picky bunch here at Eyeful so it was a case of searching out the best of the best. After an exhaustive recruitment process, we got them…and quickly realised we needed bigger premises.

Bigger premises,bigger reach

We moved the business up to the Midlands to benefit from lots more space, easy access for our customers and the opportunity to develop an environment that both clients and team found creative. The Brainstorm Barn was born! As if this wasn’t enough, we also opened up a sales office in the US.Busy, busy, busy…

Eyeful Towers

In no time at all, we’d outgrown our new home, upped sticks and moved down the road to the rather grand Desford Hall (affectionately known as Eyeful Towers). This afforded us lots more space, a custom designed client workshop area and easy access to a very nice pub for afterwork drinks.

The sun never sets on Eyeful…

By 2013 we’d created presentations for customers on every continent except Antarctica, and the Eyeful family had become truly global. We currently have offices in the UK, The US, The Netherlands, Germany, Russia and The Republic of Ireland.

Proud of our people

During 2013 we also became proud winners of a Smarta 100 award in the category of “Best People Business”

Happy customers

Our first (but not last – we’ve been in it ever since) inclusion in the Recommended Agency Register’s Top 100. This list is open to all marketing services agencies outside the M25 and inclusion is based entirely on customer feedback.

The book deal

Our approach to creating engaging presentations became available to an even wider audience with the publication of The Presentation Lab: Learn the Formula Behind Powerful Presentations by Wiley. The book has since been translated into 6 different languages and widely acclaimed as a key milestone in new presentation thinking.

Defining the future of presentations

The launch of Eyeful Labs, our immersive presentation environment where we gather our customers, consultants and creatives together to challenge traditional thinking and experiment with innovation. Ground-breaking concepts like Blended Presenting and Presentation Culture are developed, evolved and tested in the Eyeful Labs before being shared with our customers and partners around the world.

The baton pass

Rob Bailey, longstanding member of the Eyeful team, steps up to the plate as Managing Director, allowing Simon to throw himself into his passion for thought-leadership, public speaking and writing.

Further investment in our people, a realignment of our operations team, and a renewed focus on customer-first thinking brings significant growth.

Onwards and upwards

With global client relationships in Pharma, Consultancy & FinTechs, a focus on strategic partnerships for sales enablement and technology, and a heap of new product lines on the horizon, the future looks bright.
